Here’s just a little bit about Memphis’s story: Memphis Rose, now 10, was in a car accident in June of 2020, when she was 6 yrs old. This car accident left her permanently paralyzed from the neck down making her wheelchair dependent, with a trach and dependent on a ventilator. But she’s able to speak and eat by mouth. We were in a hospital for 6 months before we were allowed to go home. Since then she has had multiple surgeries and is due this fall to have another major one for her spine as she now has severe scoliosis due to her injury. Several days a week she goes to her physical and occupational therapy appts- some here in West Palm and we go once a week to a specialized facility near Orlando. In addition she’s unable to attend a “normal school” so she has a private tutor come to the house. All of these things cost money in addition to certain medical supplies and medications, etc that we have to pay for.
Memphis enjoys art-she can paint and color using her mouth instead of her hands, playing Barbies, making slime, watching tv, enjoying the outdoors/sunshine, shopping spending time with her family including her two beautiful little sisters.
